The Story Behind Tashi’s
Our Name:
“Tashi’s” is a special name that holds deep meaning for me and my husband. It combines our names—Tarik and Shivani—and has been close to my heart for years. When my daughter was born, I wanted to name her Tashi. However, due to Indian traditions and astrological reasons, her name had to start with the letter “E,” so we named her Eva. While Tashi wasn’t used for my daughter, it always stayed in the back of my mind.
When the time came to rename our salon after three wonderful years of running it, I couldn’t think of a name more fitting. “Tashi’s” reflects the equal roles my husband and I play in creating a welcoming space for our team and the amazing clients who have supported us every step of the way.

My journey into hairstyling and beauty began as a little girl, watching and helping my mom run her salon in India. I was captivated by how she enhanced women’s beauty and boosted their confidence. Her dedication and skill inspired me to pursue this field, and even as a child, I dreamed of opening my own salon one day.
Although I earned an engineering degree, my passion for hair and makeup remained unwavering, and I chose to follow my heart. The Tashi’s logo is dedicated to my mom, who showed me the path, and to my husband, who has supported me unconditionally throughout this journey. Their influence and encouragement have shaped who I am today, and I am endlessly grateful to them.

Shivani Sehgal
Owner / Hair Stylist / Colorist / Makeup Artist
With over 16 years of experience in Hair Styling and Makeup industry. I grew up watching my mother beautifying all the lovely women and then my interest even deepened in the industry.
I have an engineering degree in Electronics Engineering but still, choose to follow my passion. I have pursued my hair diploma from Canadian Hair and Aesthetics Academy, and I’m also certified by Top industry professionals and Celebrity Makeup Artists, like Georgy Kot from Russia, Mario Dedivinoic from the USA, Tamana Roashan from the USA and Sabrina Wassel from Toronto.
I specialize in hair styling, hair coloring, Bridal, and non-bridal makeup and Hair Styles. I have a team of 6 amazing stylists and aestheticians to provide an astonishing experience in my Salon.
We love all our customers who have trusted us throughout the years and always motivated us to learn new techniques and keep up with the ever-changing trends in the fashion industry.
